The recent news regarding the flash floods on Talek River in Masai Mara may have caused concern for your upcoming safari.

However, we want to assure you that our Camps and Lodges located in the Samburu and Maasai Mara private conservancies remain open and operational throughout the high season and the rest of the year. Basecamp Maasai Mara is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen on July 01, whilst Basecamp Adventure is scheduled to re-open in January 2025 (both of which are located along Talek river, in the Maasai Mara National Reserve).

Safety and Security

We would like to assure you that the safety of our guests remains our utmost priority. Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring that your experience with us is both safe and enjoyable. As we recover, we are focused on utilizing the lessons learned from this experience to review our policies and procedures, thereby further strengthening our emergency response systems.

To reinforce our commitment to safety at the camps, we will periodically conduct refresher emergency response training for our employees. This training covers all aspects of guest safety and security, equipping our staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle any emergency situation.

Additionally, we are reevaluating the design and locations of some of our camp structures to ensure they are fortified and can withstand harsh environmental conditions.
